The only NFL fandom map that doesn't suck...well sort of.

From a very interesting and insightful post by Facebook on its NFL fan users, a NFL fandom map actually composed of data, instead of some dude in Oklahoma's guesswork. The post contains much more, including breakdowns of which parts of the country split which way come playoff time.

Now let's find things to disagree about anyway!

Saints portion, especially in N. La, fluctuates week to week

People need to realize these maps don't work.

Steelers Nation is everywhere.

Montana loves them some Steelers.

And no way Columbus is a steelers city.

It's just too split with browns and bengals fans.

I'd say that they would have a few Titans fans.

idk, dude. I notice Steeler fans there. I don't notice any BRowns or Bengals fans there.

Surprised the hell out of me.

Doesn't mean there are no fans. Map just shows the most popular team in each county. So Alameda County, based on the data, has more Niners fans than Raiders fans.

Could be due to the hiatus from 1982-95, as well as the long term dysfunction of the franchise.

Oakland is a joke. It's like this poor, shitty smallish city on the outskirts of San Francisco which is a monster international city. I have no idea where their fans come from.
