The NFL is stalling Elliott's appeal decision

TL:DR
The NFL always rules on these cases by close of business on Tuesday so teams know who is/isn't available to play that week. They are not doing so in this case so that they can have the NFLPA lawsuit at 5 PM today dismissed on the grounds they haven't ruled yet. They will then uphold the suspension and then file suit in New York to uphold the decision, allowing them control of the venue (the same venue that finally ended Deflategate by enforcing the suspension).

This whole case is shady as frick on the NFL's part

Wish they'd freaking hurry up. Gotta set my fanduel lineups.

Um....why would the NFL file suit to "uphold" the decision? If they win, then it would be up to player's union to file the action to overturn the decision, no?? And they absolutely don't have to rule today. (The arbitrator indicated he would.) The claim is that the TRO request is premature because the appeal hasn't been ruled on. If it is ruled on prior to the hearing on the tro, then it isn't premattri, I think that is where they are....but I don't see how the NFL can file anything in New York (unless, perhaps, if the arbitrator rules against them...)

Damn you Harold Henderson. I have a fantasy draft tonight with the #4 pick.

Yeah, my sentiments exactly when he said that I was like "that literally makes zero sense" within our legal system or just through common sense

Seems smart on the NFL's part

Man it seems like the longest time ago when saints fans were seen crazy and out of touch for hating on Goodell and saying that bounty-gate was complete bullshite.
Everyone in the NFL and fans of every team hate Goodell with a passion now.

Once I heard will Cain break it down I figured this was inevitable. The NFL didn't violate any protocol because Goodell is the protocol. It's shitty but they agreed to it

Still won't miss a game this season. It's going to go the Brady route to a T

Absolutely, the chances he misses any games this year are small.

will Cain
Will Cain is the man, he and SAS are the only logical people on First Take which I actually enjoy, Libtard Kellerman's a specialist at making asinine nonsensical comments using big vocabulary to obfuscate arguments and confuse the issue, he basically reaches to the heavens with his points. I literally can't stand that dude when he talks politics, he's SO liberal biased and knows nothing about nothing.
