Dude. I don't even know if it took place. They measured four of the Colts balls at halftime of the AFC Championship Game and three of them were found to be BELOW the standards set by the NFL.

So either both teams were deflating footballs that night and therefore no one should be bitching about anything, or the natural elements caused the footballs to lose air pressure.

offering up natural explanations to why the balls deflated.

Unfortunately they don't explain the text messages and Brady not turning over texts and destroying his phone.

You must be a patriots fan. Just ITT you've gone from the stance that the NFL precedent doesn't match up and that's why this is whole case is bogus. Are you really to the point you're questioning the validity the Patriots did anything wrong to begin with? Cmon dude

Logical explanations have been offered up to address your points but I just don't feel like bringing them up again. You'll just ignore them.

The most logical explanation is the one you are doing mental gymnastics to ignore. You are being completely emotional and illogical.

I am not a fan of any one NFL team. Am I partial to the Patriots? Yeah. I like Tom Brady and they have several former Alabama players on their roster.

I am not in favor of this suspension for two reasons:

1. Lack of precedent
2. Lack of concrete evidence

The evidence of wrong doing is there, no doubt, but so is the evidence of natural occurrence. We merely assume the former because of SpyGate and the fact that we don't like the Patriots.

And the standard is that it is more likely (51%) that they did it than that they doesn't.

The standard calls for a 25K fine

We are referring to him questioning whether the balls were deflated or not.

Also, that is a punishment, not a legal standard.

The punishment is the problem, regardless of legal standard or guilt

Again, you are ignoring a key component related to due process.

for how long did they say Brady was involved with deflating the balls?

does that standard also involve interfering with the investigation?

In a lengthy statement published on his official Facebook page on Wednesday morning, Tom Brady took issue with the NFL’s handling of the “inconsequential” situation, the “narrative” surrounding evidence that he destroyed his cell phone before the ruling, and the NFL’s decision to uphold the ban which, he says, creates a bad “precedent” for players who cooperate with NFL investigations going forward. Lastly, he thanked his fans for their support.

His entire statement, in full:

I am very disappointed by the NFL’s decision to uphold the 4 game suspension against me. I did nothing wrong, and no one in the Patriots organization did either.

Despite submitting to hours of testimony over the past 6 months, it is disappointing that the Commissioner upheld my suspension based upon a standard that it was “probable” that I was “generally aware” of misconduct. The fact is that neither I, nor any equipment person, did anything of which we have been accused. He dismissed my hours of testimony and it is disappointing that he found it unreliable.

I also disagree with yesterdays narrative surrounding my cellphone. I replaced my broken Samsung phone with a new iPhone 6 AFTER my attorneys made it clear to the NFL that my actual phone device would not be subjected to investigation under ANY circumstances. As a member of a union, I was under no obligation to set a new precedent going forward, nor was I made aware at any time during Mr. Wells investigation, that failing to subject my cell phone to investigation would result in ANY discipline.

Most importantly, I have never written, texted, emailed to anybody at anytime, anything related to football air pressure before this issue was raised at the AFC Championship game in January. To suggest that I destroyed a phone to avoid giving the NFL information it requested is completely wrong.

To try and reconcile the record and fully cooperate with the investigation after I was disciplined in May, we turned over detailed pages of cell phone records and all of the emails that Mr. Wells requested. We even contacted the phone company to see if there was any possible way we could retrieve any/all of the actual text messages from my old phone. In short, we exhausted every possibility to give the NFL everything we could and offered to go thru the identity for every text and phone call during the relevant time. Regardless, the NFL knows that Mr. Wells already had ALL relevant communications with Patriots personnel that either Mr. Wells saw or that I was questioned about in my appeal hearing. There is no “smoking gun” and this controversy is manufactured to distract from the fact they have zero evidence of wrongdoing.

I authorized the NFLPA to make a settlement offer to the NFL so that we could avoid going to court and put this inconsequential issue behind us as we move forward into this season. The discipline was upheld without any counter offer. I respect the Commissioners authority, but he also has to respect the CBA and my rights as a private citizen. I will not allow my unfair discipline to become a precedent for other NFL players without a fight.

Lastly, I am overwhelmed and humbled by the support of family, friends and our fans who have supported me since the false accusations were made after the AFC Championship game. I look forward to the opportunity to resume playing with my teammates and winning more games for the New England Patriots.

Brady also explained his "destroyed" cell phone in his response, saying he simply replaced an old, broken Samsung phone with a new iPhone 6.
