Like Cam or not you have to admit this really is some BS

quote:

Every time Cam Newton gives a child in the stands a ball he is fined $5,512. To date he had a total of $253,552.00

When did players start getting fined for that because you see it all the time.

Good thing he didn't score too much early on in his career, he could afford it easily now!

Kidding, it's pretty cool of him to do that. P

That's an odd specific number. Why can't they just round down to $5,500.

The fine only applies if you chuck the ball into the crowd. If you hand to someone there isn't a fine.

The NFL really likes to make it hard to be a big fan.

Fine is only if you throw or punt the ball into the stands. Cam shouldn't be fined. Link?

I think the league's rationale is that they don't want folks getting their asses kicked leaving the stadium, over a ball.

That's badass that he is saying IDGAF roger you pussy.

Cam

I like him despite thinking he shouldn't be in the MVP conversation.

There's a 5% year to year increase for fines

So this fine started as 5,000, then 5,250 then 5,512

So you're fined based on the method you to transport the ball This shite never ceases to amaze me

I remember when Ironhead Heyward would get fined for throwing the football into the stands whenever he would score a touchdown for the Saints.

The fine is for people that throw the ball. The NFL wants to prevent unsuspecting fans from getting hit in the face by a ball thrown by an NFL athlete.

Players have always been fined for giving balls away, this is nothing new.

Its always been this way.

Its pocket change anyway.
