Why is GSW hateable? They are a byproduct of Lebron going to Miami which opened a huge can of worms.

Would wade and bosh have brought the heat to the finals / won championships without Lebron?

No they are a product of the current CBA

So given all of that, that 58 win Heat team would properly have been roughly anywhere from a 38-42 win team without LeBron. So more than 45 would seem unlikely.

Horrible use of statistics

If both moves are close to the same thing, then you are saying that the Heat with Bosh, and Wade but no Lebron would've made the finals/won a championship?
Because the Warriors did both without KD.

First of all I said similar not the same.

Second of all, the league didn't have a super team at the time. Lebron formed a super team to make his team superior talent wise then the rest of the league. When Durant moved, Lebron had another super team. Durant moved to make the other super team to make the team superior talent wise to the rest of the league.

Its pretty fricking sad that I have to argue this...

They would've been a contender in the East but they are not even in the same stratosphere as the Warriors juggernaut before Durant.

That's why these Lebron/Durant comparisons are downright ridiculous.

So GS without Durant won 73 fricking games but they weren't as talented as the Cavs?
OKC and San Antonio were just as talented as the Heat. Boston was too at the beginning when they had Rondo before Pierce and Garnett got too old.

The Lakers were coming off of back to back championships with a prime Kobe Bryant and a 3 headed monster in the frontcourt with Gasol/Odom/Bynum. The Celtics still had their big 4 and were a Kevin Garnett injury away from 3 straight Finals appearances.

Again, comparing the 2010 Heat to the 2016 Warriors is ludicrous.

They were pretty even. Even though I'm sure you'll argue otherwise despite the results of 2 head to head series

Who was the heavy favorite?

OKC got beat in 5 games by the Heat. Celtics were around for one year total and were well on there way to getting old. San Antonio was not as talented as the Heat. They were as good of a team as the Heat though.

This is true, but the major difference to me is that Durant had another superstar and he still bailed to go join a proven commodity.

LeBron had an aging Shaq who was averaging 12 and 6 with 23 minutes, Mo Williams and Antwan Jamison.

Durant had Westbrook, who is probably going to be named MVP and averaged a triple double this year.

LeBron left primarily because Cleveland's front office had failed over and over again to build talent around LeBron, unlike Boston did with Pierce, Miami did with Wade and L.A. did with Kobe.

I guess Pierce, Garnett, Allen and Rondo weren't a super team to you then?

The frick?

Super teams have been around for as long as sport has existed.

All this talk about other teams but who was the clear favorite the first year they formed? It was pretty fricking clear...

I mean Lebron said it himself...

Yes but they were a super team at the time they had formed. You were phrasing it as though we had never seen a team of Superstars form together.

It's happened plenty in multiple different eras in league history. The ONLY difference is that now the players have most of the power.

Remember when James Worthy, Kareem and Magic were all on the same squad?

What about Barkley, Hakeem, and Drexler?
