They selected a 6-6 at large MAC team (Northern Illinois) over 6-6 ULL.

The Texas Bowl now must take Western Michigan, per NCAA rules.

ULL is left at home.

Fenroy by himself would make the game more entertaining than watching N. Illinois

Hilarious... I was listening to a local station in Lafayette and some clown was going on that if they won this last week then they would be able to sell themselves to the highest bidder.

Good. You know who else should be left at home? About 40 of the other bowl-eligible teams. If you're gonna have so many fricking bowls, why not just add another regular season game--those actually matter. Bowls are just exhibition games.

Notre Dame should be left at home, IMO.

Because it's a more interesting, OOC game, and something to play for at the end of the season.

Damn, I was pulling for them to get into a bowl. Having said that, I didn't really believed they deserved a bid. There are just too many bowls win a 6-6 Sun Belt team is getting any serious consideration.

TECH is going to massacre NIU in this game. And the INDY bowl has seen its last game.

Those happen all the time. I wouldn't care to watch Northern Illinois and Louisiana Tech in September; why would I care about it in December?

There's nothing to play for. Every conference title has been decided, and only one game decides any actual championship.
