I think he was just trying to light that guy up who was backheeling someone on the ground. It was so outrageous. No way he does that if it was the World Cup and the US woulda had to hold them there. I wanted to see if they could before they got bailed out.

i didn't even see what he did? coming into the ruck from the side or what?

Left his feet coming into the ruck and led with his shoulder. USA player was trying to slow the ball down stepping over the ruck.

USA! USA! USA!

Every time I think about Japanese rugby I think of Max Boyce's "Asso Asso Yogashi" song about Japan's first tour of Wales.

So I guess everyone got a chance to watch the games huh?

New Zealand vs South Africa lived up to the hype for sure, great game. Really thought the Springboks were gonna pull it off till that Richie McCaw lineout try that really start the Springbok meltdown and it just went from there in the last ten minutes.

Australia vs Argentina went about as expect but was contested closer than the scoreline would indicate. This Argentina team is a young squad and there's no way they were gonna beat an Australia team set on revenge. A nice win for them in holding the Puma's tryless on the road.

Sets up nicely for The Bledisloe Cup in a couple weeks which will be the decider for a shortened Rugby Championship due to tRWC.

Game getting ready to kick off. I won't be able to watch here at work but I think ESPN3 leaves the matches up for awhile so we should all be able to watch the replay.

Yeah that scoreline looks pretty rough. Guess we won't be winning the PNC this year.

Even the announcers were saying how bad they looked. (USA)
Not Tonga was spectacular but USA just made it easy for them.....

In other words I shouldn't really bother with the replay unless I'm a gluten for punishment huh

Ruby Championship is in a bye week. Only match this weekend I think they have is an Argentina XV developmental team taking on Uruguay in a Rugby World Cup build up match.

I would not watch this match CC. It was some of the worst rugby I've seen the USA play. Catching the ball seemed like a challenge. Tonga didn't look good either just the USA was that bad.

The All Blacks could be headed back to Chicago to play the Eagles, just not the same All Blacks they played last year. According to multiple reports both New Zealand and Ireland are looking to stage a match in Chicago in November 2016. The match would be a part of a double-header that also would see the Maori All Blacks take on the Eagles. The match would once again come after New Zealand's The Rugby Championship campaign and on their way to their November test in Europe.

Thanks to their big payday last year it shouldn't come as any surprise that the All Blacks want to come back to America. Ireland have also been wanting to come to the U.S. to try and tap into the Irish-American community. This match would accomplish both of those goals.

Take the jump to read more.
Making it a doubleheader makes sense in many regards but it also comes with more risk. Now with the Wallabies coming this year there will no doubt be a wearing off of the cache of the event over time. Adding in a team like Ireland would bring in a new crowd but it would also mean that the payday would have to be split. Bringing in the U.S. to play the Maori All Blacks would help keep U.S. fans invested, but again, it would mean the pay day would be split more.

It's very important to note that this is just a discussion at the moment and that nothing is set but it looks like it's well on the way to happening. This match also seems like a perfect fit for the new Rugby International Marketing. Promoting international teams on U.S. soil could be a big part of their business and this is exactly what they are looking for.
