Who are y'all looking at for leadoff and CF?

Depends on how much Bourn's 2nd half lowered his open market value. I doubt it did very much, but I'm sure we will make him tell us no before exploring other options.

Still can't believe it. I'm not sure we had a game all year long with 3 errors.

As much as I hate to say it, it's almost expected at this point.

Look, we had a damn good team this year. Yes, we had some holes but so did everyone else. With our pitching staff, we had as good a chance as any in a series.

Unfortunately, sans 1995 and 99, we have mostly had a championship-caliber team that would choke in the playoffs. We did it again this year. Home game, a pitcher that is on fire and we can't pull through.

Don't think anyone really knows. As Robot said, Bourn will have to say no first, which he most likely will.

Since we finally have some money to spend and knowing the organization, we'll probably trade for a cheap, average CF. Or just let Jose Constanza roam the middle for 162 games.

I don't post much, if at all, about the braves on here mostly because I'm not in the habit of being on the MSB but I told everyone who would listen that my baseball superstitions made me see Medlin's streak as a negative going into this game. I wish he had lost one close to the end of the season because that mofo was due.

They'll move Heyward to CF if worst comes to worst.

Yeah, it was a joke.

In no way do I think Jose will ever be a starter for this team on a regular basis.

I had same instinct, but Medlin had little to do with this, unless you're just referring to some intangible, luck-running-out type of thing.

Medlen hadn't been getting a lot of good luck though. He was just dominating people. He didn't have his best stuff tonight, but I blame him for 1 of the runs given up. Everything else was on the defense.

Right yeah, but i'm seeing people trash braves fans saying we thought we were invincible with him on the mound. I felt the opposite.

This just goes to show how fricking gay the 1-game playoff is. 162 games should not be wiped out by 1 game like that. shite, push the WS back to November and I"d be fine with a 3 game series. 1 is just a crime.

With the way Medlen pitched, though a tad off, we win that game if Chipper turns two instead of throwing it into LF. NO DOUBT IN MY MIND.

If LSU loses tomorrow, nobody is going to want to be around me for quite some time.

Medlen can't field all the balls either. Medlen allowed ground balls to happen and nobody backed him up.

I feel like I have to pull for LSU now. I know that if Bama lost tomorrow after the events that have transpired today, I would be inconsolable for a week. Half the people who post in the ATL Thread are LSU fans. The only UF fan is that piece of shite who just pulls for whoever is playing us. Hopefully he catches his wife cheating on him with 6 guys at the same time after he gets back home from watching LSU beat his team by 50 tomorrow afternoon.

I like where the Braves sit going into next year. The braves hung right with the nats all year. Finished 4 games back. Over the course of the year, luck can easily account for 4 games, and we all saw how the nats were repeatedly gifted wins. They'll be hard pressed to improve on this season, I don't think there is very much room for them to improve. They pretty much played lights out all year. The phillies are in a state of flux with a rapidly aging pitching staff and an offense that will score in bunches, but go into draughts for even bigger bunches. The braves starting rotation will be solidified with medlen in there from the beginning of the year, the steady and occasionally dominant huddy, a mike minor more like what we saw in the second half for a whole season, Paul Maholms pretty good for a 4/5 starter, and getting Beachy back perhaps in tl;dr august will be a big shot in the arm and almost like acquiring a new player at that point in the season. The bullpen will obviously be one of the best if not the best in baseball. The offense put up some great numbers even with uggla and McCann in the dumps. With at least a slight upturn from them and another year of experience for heyward, Freeman, and Simmons(3 of the best young players in baseball) the offense will improve as well, bourn or no bourn. Hopefully some addition by subtraction by axing hanson. Replace hinske. That whole good luck charm thing has run it's course.

We can hope against hope that jurrjens returns to form. I would almost be willing to take our best minor league starter and throwing him to the wolves, pitching 5th.
