quote:well that would make more sense to me, but I just got the lineup from an ESPN article so take it FWIW
I thought I heard in the conference McCann would be sandwiched in between the 2. Justin, McCann, BJ

Fredi gon Fredi.

So according to Fredi, the lineup is:
Simmons
Heyward
J Upton
B Upton
Mccann
Freeman
Uggla
Johnson/Francisco
Yea, McCann in between the Upton bros would be much more logical. But since Fredi is making the lineup I'm sure that won't be the case.

Depends on if we get old McCann back this year or not. I would love old McCann hitting between them. Otherwise, it should be Freeman.

"In 2012, Prado hit .301 with 10 home runs, 17 stolen bases and a .796 OPS. It was arguably the most all-around productive season of his career. Meanwhile, Upton was bashed while hitting .280 with 17 home runs, 18 stolen bases and a .785 OPS. Upton's worst season was at least on par with Prado's finest."
Jupton's floor is Prado's ceiling.
Not to mention we control JUpton for 3 more years compared to Prado's 1.

Fredi gonna Fredi.

That article is wrong.
I will self ban myself if BJ Upton is hitting 4 hole on opening day.

Freddie should hit 4th, I still say he has the best season

Fredi mentioned in the press conference that there would be some wiggle room in the lineup to change up if needed. He said that he obviously wouldn't keep a guy hitting .400 in the 8 hole. So hopefully, he will adjust accordingly once he sees how guys start out this year.

Chase Headley and the Padres agree to one year deal.

THe Padres are stupid if they don't pay that man.

We'll gladly take him off their hands

Can they even afford to pay him? He'd be 1/3 of their payroll.

The one year deal is worth 8.6 mil
I'm guessing they want him to have one bad off year to Knock off his price, cuz if beasts it up again he gone

They just want to hold onto him until the deadline and move him to a contender who will overpay out of desperation for some offense. Probably didn't get an offer they liked this offseason. Even if he doesn't put up last year's numbers, he will still be too expensive for them unless they really bump up their payroll.

Yanks could be in play, I don't even know why they keep A-Rod he is pretty worthless
