With the way the Phillies have played the 2nd half we will win this competition in a landslide.

I don't know if we will ever win again

We are by the far the worst team in baseball right now. Crappy lineup, extremely crappy rotation, crappiest bullpen ever... We may clear the top spot by 5 games or more.

Olivera drives in his first runs and we gain a game?

Really can't take much from what we're seeing from the big league club. They're doing what's expected of them by losing a shite ton of games. Would be much worse if they hadn't somehow hit .330 with RISP in the 1st half.

Don't care about the offense because outside of Markakis, Freeman, Olivera they will all be gone/on the bench next year.

Same with the hilariously bad bullpen. Everybody outside of Arodys will definitely be gone next year and replaced by Simmons, Withrow, Grilli, Winkler, etc.

Young starters haven't been very good. Miller and a bunch of back-end/AAAA guys is what it looks like of guys who have pitched in the big leagues. Maybe Wisler or ManBan can become #3 guys. Braves seemed to be encouraged by Folty but I am wait and see there. Should see Jenkins next year.

Next year will be big for the higher ceiling guys who are all younger in Toussaint, Fried, Allard, Soroka, Sims etc.

#1 pick would be huge not only because of the pick itself but also due to the extra bonus pool money we would get. I'm sure we will try and acquire more comp picks this offseason and also would expect us to trade our international slot money since we're going to go way over anyway (like the Dodgers did this year).

Next year should be another interesting year in the org.

washingtpn -1.5 was stupid easy money tonight. Wisler has been garbage, since the word got out on his tendencies. not encouraging.

That's a gross understatement. Those guys have been atrocious. Is this really the big payoff for trading everyone who could hit? Wisler looks like he should be in AA ball.

If we don't call up the players we expect to be there for our "championship run" in 2017, in 2016 to get playing experience then our "championship run" won't happen until 2018. You can't expect a bunch of unproven kids to perform at the highest level in 162+ games in their first season of the bigs. Get them up next year, and throw them in the fire. Screw all the contractual obligations. Who cares if their service time starts earlier. They need the experience.
