Not Chizik or Malzahn

It all makes sense now.

I could be on Ludes and call plays for Cam. Like Wolf of Wall Street wasted.

John Parker Wilson?

He's so dreamy, he made Hoover Bangs a trend that has endured for well over a decade now

Shula has done a helluva job.

You do know, however, that Shula's offense with Cam only started busting out after he had talked with Malzahn and implemented a number of Malzahn's schemes in the playbook, right?

You do know that? And that is to Shula's CREDIT and is not meant to demean him in any way. Smart coaches *adapt*.

BUT ignoring the contributions that Malzahn provided Shula is either ignorance or simple trolling.

Somewhere, Les Miles is laughing to himself saying, "*adapt* psssshh please, everybody knows you just run up the middle into 9 man fronts"

You got a link? Not saying I don't believe you. I'd just like to read it.

This is from the ESPN Carolina Panther beat writer in the middle of December...

https://espn.go.com/blog/carolina-panthers/post/_/id/17996/auburns-gus-malzahn-new-early-cam-newton-had-a-chance-to-be-one-of-the-best-ever

quote:

Carolina offensive coordinator Mike Shula knew little about the run-option scheme that Newton has perfected before taking over in 2013. But through talking with Malzahn and members of his staff, he’s adapted much of what Newton did at Auburn into his pro-style attack.

“There’s some similarities," Malzahn said. “But at the same time, they’ve added little flares to what they’re doing. They’ve got it going on.

“It looks to me like they’re molding the offense around his strengths."

quote:

Shula’s goal with the read-option is to have the defense think Newton might run on every play, even though that’s not the plan. To a different degree, that was the scheme at Auburn.

“They’ve done a good job with it," Malzahn said.

And if you watch enough Auburn *and* Carolina games like I do, you can see some of the passing looks that Malzahn uses when they pass out of the read-option scheme as well (even though this article only addresses the read-option run).

Hope this helps.

I got a downvote for presenting Vidic what he asked for?
