Slaughter deciding to focus on baseball hurts, but they're still top 50 easily. They'll still go deep and likely make it to the DOME.

I don't know, I saw them on an episode of Duck Dynasty last night and based on that I can't help but question the quality of coaching they're getting.

I love you JJ but Division III will be too stacked for that...

Since when? It's usually a cake walk. Isn't there typically a bye and teams with losing records in the playoffs?

I'll be curious to see where Hahnville starts out in their rankings now that they've had a full season in that option offense. If only they could keep a QB healthy.

they put an arse whipping on us last year but that was their last win in week 5. they couldn't compete with the big boys in NOLA like Warren Easton, Landry Walker, and Karr

i wish Chalmette would keep playing them however. we didn't play them from the 1950s until we were in the same 3A district in 2003. Since Katrina they've beaten us 4 times to none for us (in real games, we beat them in a jamboree), but that's usually a good program with a fun stadium to visit.

but this year? looking at the schedule i see 5-5, but those NOLA 4A teams are tough to beat, so BC will probably be back in the state playoffs again. they lose Andrew Hicks and I don't know who they have, but it'll be somebody.

EDIT- GeauxColonels, Hahnville will start between #6-#10. Coach Salt says they bring 17 starters back with some premium talent

thanks owl... that's pretty much my feelings too... Coach Becnel calls our distrist the SEC South

i was at BC when y'all were in our district... we had some tough games against chalmette in football and baseball.. i hated pitching to seth edwards, turnage, and that other guy (i can't remember his name)

funny story though: we were playing a football game @ chalmette and we had a guy who had two (may have been just one) torn ACLs and he was holding our flag in our end zone before the game started... well, someone from the chalmation nation hopped the fence, tackled the guy, stole the flag and took off into the back of a waiting truck and drove off i'm pretty sure the cops or someone else caught them because we got the flag back that night

we were pretty pissed back then, but now, looking back, it's pretty funny

I wonder if any of yall still have the taped CST broadcast of that football game... believe it or not St. Bernard High played us closer than yall did that year.

Yeah, a lot of talent coming back. They just need to stay healthy at the QB position this year.

Well, he lost his best QB who is concentrating on baseball. Kid is going into his Jr year with some scholarship offers already as a pitcher.

Heard Salt is scraping his run only style after Ehret embarrassed them in the spring game. With Lester Ricard as OC now we'll have to see what they will do.

I have the CST broadcast and I was on it quite a bit from what I understand, but never watched it for obvious reasons

Might have to try to dig it up.. Were you in school then?

We beat STB like 63-6 that year.. Chalmette was ALWAYS a tough game for us, no matter the sport
