Ladies and gentlemen, may I present to you the first place Texas Rangers! I'm pretty excited about this team (hopefully they can get the bats going).

May schedule looks favorable

@Seattle (2): 2-0
@A's (3 games)
KC (4)
A's (3)
@Toronto (3)
LA Angels (2)
Baltimore (2)
Chicago Cubs (3)
@ KC (2)
@ Minnesota (3)

Only Minnesota, out of that bunch, is a really good team.

Ahh..I don't think the Sox will be doing much of anything this year. They should fire Kenny Williams. He's an awful GM.

What about their June, July, August and September schedules? It's a long season

I've got tickets field level, first base side for the Cubs. I'm pumped.

I'm admittedly not a big Rangers fan but I'm going to try to become one. Beating up the Cubbies (a team I loathe) is going to help that.

I'm stoked... But I've been a Rangers fan too long to get exciting at the beginning of May. That being said, if we can get fully healthy then I think they have a good chance of possibly making the ALCS... Don't know though. I've learned with the Rangers I just hope they're going to suck then when they do halfway decent I'm pleasantly surprised.

Agreed...but I think this schedule could really jump start them. Also, keep in mind that they are only hitting a robust .245, which is 22nd in all of the majors (4th worst in the AL). I think good things are coming.

FML...this series was absolutely pathetic...should have taken 2 of 3..excellent pitching..but we cant buy a hit if their lives depended on it

Should have held on to Jaramillo.

Honestly, there's a yes and a no to this. Rudy is a great coach. No doubt about it. But he had been with the Rangers for something like 20 years. Maybe it was time to get a new message in.

All I know is that it doesn't matter who the hitting coach is, these guys haven't really hit for the past two years.

I agree that it's much more on the players than the hitting coach. The Cubs have started to hit the past 3 days under Jaramillo, but they've sucked just like last year most of the season. Rudy's work may still pay off, but in the end, the players still have to go up there and swing the bats.

Even if that's a typo, there's so much fail in this statement that I don't even care to comment further.

Looks like the bullpen is starting to perform better, hopefully the hitters will start to come around.
