I do like them and feel they could make a late run. You never know with team chemistry and momentum.

The team chemistry is by far their strength.

Elvis is clearly overpaid for his mediocre batting and frequent defensive brain freezes. But he is the heart and soul of the team. He and Prince are keeping a very bad team from completely imploding by keeping the team tight and always thinking they have a chance.

Now if they can find a way to push JD off the roof...

Werd up. We sound like we took similar journeys. I have a pic with my best friend in the old parking lot with TBIA behind us in the background as it was under construction. Funny to think that when we started going to games Nolan was playing and George W was owner. Life's a trip I tell ya.

It's getting tense in our house with the Rangers one game out of the wild card slot currently held by the Orioles. The wife and I barely talk to each other during games, though I'm trying to root for both to make the postseason. It works better as we both wish pain and misfortune upon the Yankees and Angels, who we both agree are the root of all evil.

Next weekend's series is going to be ugly. We have tickets to all three games v. the Orioles and we're going to kill each other, I think.

The fact the Rangers have gotten decent pitching despite a second straight year of catastrophic injuries to their rotation is truly amazing. For most of this year, their entire top four was on the DL.

I'm in, was never off but I was fading after the 11-1 loss in Minnesota.

The Rangers have silently been one of the most impressive clubs of this season. The turnaround has been pretty incredible, yet they are barely mentioned in national news. In a fairly weak AL playoff lineup, you never know what could happen if they sneak in.

I also heard where they are the only team in the playoff hunt with a negative run differential.

Just shows how terrible they were to start the year... and getting mudholed by the yanks that one game didn't help.
