Just saw that. That's horseshite. How do they expect players to make tackles if the ball carrier drops his head into you?

that's literally what happened

i've argued for years that if the offensive player creates helmet to helmet, he should be ejected

Was it worse than the UF targeting?

The reason I ask is because it seemed the UF targeting call checked every box for the opposite of what targeting is.

I think someone needs to be sued for this rule.

I'm not joking in the slightest.

He hit him with the crown of helmet which is why it was called

Speared him

You knew it way rod complained about it so long and the fact he dropped made it easier to see crown.

If he hit him with the crown of his helmet into his chest he wouldn't have been flagged. He got tossed because the offensive player lowered his head into the defensive players head.

Ok did you see the UF targeting call?

I feel like the kid has has a footing to sue tf out of the NCAA for making rules and then hiring people to watch unlimited video without being able to know the rules.

You can't hit anyone with crown of helmet

quote:

No player shall target and make forcible contact against an opponent with the crown (top) of his helmet. This foul requires that there be at least one indicator of targeting (See Note 1 below). When in question, it is a foul

May want to know the rule

Like I said. He wouldn't have been flagged if he hit him in the chest. That Happens every weekend in every game multiple times

I didn't see it but if hit with crown it's targeting. Now how enforced by different crews that's on them not me

I love how people think every crew enforces same

LINK

Stanford's player lowers his head into the hit. It wouldn't have been targeting if he didn't lower his head into the tackler.

They should be sued simply to clarify that lazy arse terminology.

It's fricking football.

Plus the statement has an INCREDIBLY large range of interpretation.

So if a tackler is going low and making a legal tackle, but the offensive players lowers their own head into the helmet of the defender, how is that targeting?

The defender is attempting a legal tackle, while the offensive player is causing the helmet to helmet by lowering his own head.
