I know he could have gone to LSU but does anyone else root for him to be successful? I kind of feel like he was naive at OSU and was Tresells sacrificial lamb w the initial suspension to a certain extent (although tres still didn't make it) and got in trouble but not a bad kid and seeing how hard he's working to make it in the league by any means necessary is something that's easy to root for. He looked legit on that TD last night so I'm pulling for him anyone else think it's a potential feel good story?

* Understand he's tried to be a wr for a couple years, not a new development

I guess what I meant was he tried to retroactively suspend pryor and other players, pryor being the most noteworthy, to save his a$$; which was a futile endeavor

Just stop you obviously don't know what you're talking about. Pryor was an extremely arrogant 18-22 year old and may still be at 25 or whatever he is now. Or he may realize he's not the best talent ever

His own LT from college hates him

I don't root against him, but I'm not sure that I'd paint him as Tressel's victim or the feel good story of the year.

I get your point and I'm a huge fan and extremely proud of tyrann, but if you weren't an LSU fan what would you have said about him after he got booted from LSU? I mean, he admits how he thought he was untouchable, without regard for his teammates. If he was a former tiger I bet you'd sing a different tune.

I agree, just saying that there are a lot more egregious mistakes being made by athletes these days(see Baylor as an extreme ex.), I'd like to think that a player like the honey badger isn't the only one who could make a mistake and rebound to redeem themselves as citizens and secondly football players. Tyrann's story seems to be more of an exception these days than a trend..

Ummm I'm an OSU fan and know he was a bad example during his time at OSU. He seems to have turned a corner a bit but he is not innocent in the OSU issues.

I don't discount what you're saying here.

However, there are also plenty of players who will bust their butts to make in the NFL...and who didn't need to redeem themselves for a character flaw in the first place.

I know that it didn't ultimately work out, but I was rooting a check of lot harder for Marcus Lattimore.

I'm a huge fan of his in the NFL for the simple fact that when those game checks stop rolling in he's going to be singing like a canary to through OSU under the bus.

I agree. The difference is that Tyrann was absolutely beloved by fans and teammates even while making mistakes.

Bc agree or not, some ppl can never root for a premier hs player that didn't choose LSU, or worse yet, choose a school that LSU fans despise

I'm probably one of the few Buckeye fans that (mostly) agrees with you op. Tressel really fricked up, but so did the NCAA in their handling of the suspension/s. I loved Pryor's game, and always wondered why Buckeye fans continue to love Tressel and despise Pryor at the same time, when they were both on the same sinking ship. And, what Pryor did didn't even seem that bad comparatively, so I hold no ill-wishes against Pryor, and loved watching him play in college. On top of all that, I think TP has learned a lot since college and isn't just the "dumb jock" he used to be.

I don't hate TP, he seemed to work hard and wanted to win as bad as anyone. He gave his body and didn't run out of bounds or anything like that. However, his "look at me" attitude kind of escalated the entire media around the program and put a bad taste in their mouth. From showing up with a nice car the first day of camp to dividing the locker room his frosh year (not sure his fault on that), there were issues that came to a head with the tat 5 stuff
