Terrell Owens is eligible for election to the Hall of Fame next year. As for whether he'll get in, Owens said on The Rich Eisen Show, "I can't wrap my head around that whole process because it really, literally, doesn't mean that much to me. I understand what I've done on the field and it's probably well deserving of [the Hall], but I'm being honest, it really doesn't bother me whether I get in or not.

"I guess [being in the Hall] from a standpoint of a legacy or what my kids can really see what I've done, the body of work and appreciate it, then yeah, and my family. But me, personally, it really doesn't do anything for me because I never played the game for that. I played it because I was competitive. I played it to the point that I realized my talent and I became pretty good at it. That was my motivation. I wanted to win at all costs."

He doesn't have to worry about it. He gets in no problem. Maybe 1st ballot, but I doubt it.

I don't believe for a second that it doesn't mean much to him.

He's undoubtedly a first ballot guy. Why do you doubt that?

I see nothing wrong with this, at all. I understand what he means. Not that it won't mean anything if he makes it, but that wasn't his motivation as a player.

But people will take that one sentense and run with it.

This. One of the most annoying, egotistical dickheads ever.

Because they don't tend to put WR's in first ballot. Chris Carter wasn't even first or second ballot.

Because sportswriters have sticks up their asses and will want to teach him a lesson about not being a team player.

He plays it cool now because he knows he's a shoo-in.

Oh. Well I guess I should restate. His accomplishments would indicate that he should be a first ballot guy.

Second all-time in career receiving yards. People can hate the guy all they want but he was dominant for a good stretch.

Yeah, TO. I'm sure you wouldn't react like this.

apparently not, otherwise a contract wouldn't get in the way.

He would care a lot more if he could make some money from it.

what's the o/u on T.O. crying at his speech? "That's my bust man, that's my bust"

Because he obliterated every team he ever played on? That's gotta count for something.

People that think like that shouldn't be voting IMO. It's not like he was a criminal or anything.

156 touchdowns will ensure he gets in, but he will likely be punished for his atrocious attitude and shenanigans by not being first ballot
