Terrance Cody being investigated for animal cruelty

This explains why the Ravens announced they terminated Cody's contract Friday morning. Cody hasn't been charged with a crime, but the attorney's office is reviewing the matter which allegedly involves a dog. The former second-round pick has never produced on the field and is in danger of falling out of the league.

It's a strange move, as Cody was going to be a free agent come March 10 anyway, but it's possible the Ravens are doing Cody a favor by allowing him to look for work a month before the rest of the free-agent class. Meh... was considered one of the better nose tackles in the league in 2011. Started the entire season for a team that was 2nd in the league in rush defense.
Not sure what the frick he's been doing since then, though.

Animal cruelty could be a serious charge or it could be some bullshite. I was in court Wednesday and there was a guy charged with animal cruelty because he left his Chihuahua in his van with the windows cracked for ten minutes while he went in winn Dixie. The cop was a jackass and the guy beat the charges pro se.
