no way should tosu get in over louisville.

louisville are best 1 loss team in cfb

If OSU wins out and wins the B1G title, they'll have a stronger case. They'll be a 12-1 conference champion with a more difficult schedule.

Louisville kind of got unlucky this year as they missed the three best teams on the other side of the ACC (UNC, VT, Miami), and I think they would have skull fricked all three and bolstered their resume. Their supposed marquee OOC game has tanked the last two weeks. If UK keeps winning, that could help a bit. They need help - not 2007 level chaos, but some help - to get in. Objectively, I definitely think they're one of the four best teams right now and would take them over everyone but Alabama and maybe Michigan on a neutral field, but they need some losing. With how chaotic November can be in college football, I'd probably give them a 50/50 shot at getting in if they win out.

IF, and I say if, OSU is to get in that means they win out, with 3 wins over teams currently in the top 10.

Louisville's resume won't match up

Updated to include today's games. Florida State, Tennessee, and Boise State all out with loses, Washington State in trouble losing to Oregon St right now.

I could see them still making it even if they lose to Nebraska next week. At 11-2 they'd have wins at Oklahoma, at Wisconsin, Michigan, and Neb/Wisc in the big 10 championship.

Except for Washington, what an uninteresting group this would be. Tired of those same damn teams every year.

Realistic CFP:
1. SEC Champ
2. B1G Champ
3. ACC Champ
4. Pac12 Champ

Actual CFP:
1. SEC Champion named Alabama
2. B1G Champion named Michigan or Ohio State
3. Undefeated Clemson
4. Undefeated Washington
*5. SEC Champion Not named Alabama
*6. Alabama
*7. B1G Champion not named Michigan or Ohio State
*8. Michigan / Ohio State Winner, or Clemson

* = These replace any of the four above

In two years of college football playoffs Alabama is the only team that has made it both times and one of the times they didn't make it to the CCG

Why is a higher rated Auburn team listed below LSU?

Should be in italics, because if they lose, they're out.

#8 OSU

Should also be in italics, but because of that weird bit that Michigan isn't going to lose outside of tOSU game. Technically, that could leave them in it, but there are so many things that would need to happen to get them in as well.

Plus an OSU/Clemson Orange bowl rematch or an OSU/Bama sugar bowl rematch or even a Bama/Clemson rematch would be must see tv.

Updated to include tonight's rankings. Penn State and Colorado big winners to me especially Colorado. If they win out including beating an undefeated Washington in the PAC 12 championship game will give them a legit argument. The Big 12 as a whole are the losers. It looks like Oklahoma will be their only shot at the playoffs.
