Team might look like this?

PG: Steph Curry, Chris Paul, Russell Westbrook
SG: James Harden, Jimmy Butler
SF: Kevin Durant, Kawhi Leonard
PF: Lebron James, Carmelo Anthony, Draymond Green
C: Anthony Davis, DeMarcus Cousins

I do not think Carmelo is on this team. He is a great international player though.

How I see it

100% locks if they want
Lebron
Paul
Durant
Carmelo
Davis

Very likely
Curry
Harden
Kawhi
George and Griffin (health questions though)

Westbrook and Draymond are the last 2 in this scenario. Kyrie, Love, Butler, Drummond, and Cousins are in play if George and Griffin don't play. Don't know how it will work with Dwight and Iguodala having been on past Olympic teams.

Anthony, Butler, Cousins, Curry, Davis, Durant, George, Green, Griffin, Harden, Irving, James, Leonard, Love, Paul, Thompson, and Westbrook will be the main guys with a shot at being on the team.

He's been like the best international player ever. Style suits him perfectly.

A part of me almost hopes that guys like James, Melo, CP3, and possibly Durant opt out and a new generation kind of takes over. I mean, obviously I prefer to just win.

But a team of:

Curry, Westbrook, Kyrie
Harden, Thompson, Butler
Kawhi, George
Green, Griffin
Davis, Cousins

would be pretty interesting.

Or replace one of the Guards with another big like Kevin Love (which is the more likely route).

Why is Beal even being considered? Good player but he's made of glass, and he wants to put more mileage on his body?

I am interested to see what France brings, as they are the biggest contenders to the USA. They have overtaken the Spanish as the power in Europe.

They won the Euro last year without Noah also. They will add him and Livio this year I believe.

Noah is out 4-6 months with a shoulder injury. I seriously doubt he's playing in the olympics.

Are they in? Did winning the Pan-Am qualify them?

They looked good last summer, but the US sent like its Freshman team.
