He was at a funeral for the cubs season.

I miss tim mcgarver when he worked with Fox, I also enjoyed listening to Harold Reynolds doing the ALCS.

TBS is so bad that they make me miss Fox's coverage with Joe Buck. ESPN has the best baseball coverage by far. Too bad they only cover the AL Wild Card game.

Meh.
They matched the level of competition on the field.

Ernie Johnson has always been a dead fish in the booth.

national announcers usually are. They don't take, or have the time, to become overly familiar with the team so they only have so many non-action stories to talk about, thus they recycle them over and over as though every viewer is new and didn't watch the game the night before.

I like Ron Darling in the booth, but i am biased

I thought he was too full of himself and would speak just to speak, interrupting Buck at times.
I thought Verducci was out of place, as he should have been a dugout reporter like Olney or Tim K. The trend of 3 in the booth usually does not work well. The only times I remember it working for baseball is Scully, Garigiola, and Kubick. Sometimes ABC rolled out a 3 man booth, if Howard was willing to do it.
I think a great combo would be Buck and Darling or Buck and Smoltz.

I don't like watching baseball on TBS in general.

Ernie was blah. Cal messed up names right and left. Ron is the best. Game over switched to SNY to hear Gary Cohen and Keith. I can put up with Joe Buck.

Didn't Reynolds get fired from somewhere sexual harassment or something?

He's all right in the studio but I'm not a fan of his game calls.

I'm working in Pine Bluff right now and the Holiday Inn Express we're in doesn't have TBS. Like, it's the one channel they don't carry. Can't figure that one out.

I just synced up Pat Hughes on WBBM with the TV broadcast on mute. I had a great time listening, other than the Cubs getting swept
