If Miami loses, a ton of people will be knocked out

I'm kind of making an against the grain pick and going with Indianapolis, just because San Diego is so, so bad. I'm saving my "against the Browns" pick for a sure thing - week 5 when Brady comes back if I make it that far.

Miami, but I don't feel good about it. I'm prepared, emotionally, that this may be my last week.

I picked Miami because it was the obvious choice but am nervous. This seemed to be the safest pick of my available teams IMO.

Going with Miami. No way they lose to Kessler.

Willing to take the risk with Miami being a prototypical knockout game since most will be on them. Their future value is zero once you get past the Cleveland matchup. The other decent options all can be prime picks in future weeks.

ETA: Also put $10 on Cleveland ML and $20 on Cleveland +10.5 as a small hedge.

taking Dallas. The bears are banged up, they suck, and the game is in Dallas.

Hue Jackson had aj mccarron looking like a decent NFL QB. He can't be any better than Kessler IMO. Phins can't run the ball and their QB is erratic I'm staying away.

Oh yea and their home field advantage is non existent.

Second week in a row picking against the Browns. If I die, it will be with a host of others. The only other pick that was enticing to me was Dallas against a Chicago backup. Carolina looked good, but the whole situation there made me stay away.

The Packers & Aaron Rodgers playing their home opener coming off a road loss vs a divisonal opponent (Lions) that are without Ezekiel Ansah and DeAndre Levy is much safer

You know you can pick against a team more than once, right? It'd be a lot harder to make it through the whole season if you couldn't. I went with Miami.

San Diego lost in overtime to Kansas City and destroyed Jacksonville (which I know isn't saying much) while Indianapolis has lost to Detroit and Denver. I could definitely see the Chargers winning this game.

Also like Cheerwine said, there is no limitation on the number of times picking AGAINST a team.

I think the home opener will be hopping with all the new improvements. If Cody Kessler goes in there and beats them at home they might not win a game this season.

I do expect Crowell and Duke Johnson to put up some decent numbers though. #hot take
