I love the groveling that some jackasses are doing for our third best QB. He's staying, and he's going to be legit when he is smarter than Tebow by moving away from QB.

It's a celebration. You seriously can't expect him to detract from the ceremony and say something that stirs up a frenzy.

You may be right that he stays, but I'd hardly call this solid evidence.

I know he didn't.

ETA: my post must have been a little confusing, and I apologize, but what I meant is there was no other option for him to say what he did. The changing of the quote was my way of showing that he had no other option than to say what he said about wanting to stay another year and going for another championship.

Hopefully the post makes a bit more sense now. I apologize that wasn't a bit more organized.

Not saying anything about next year would have caused a frenzy in the media.

If he just left it as it "being an honor and privilege to be part of the 2014 National Championship" and made no note of what the coming year will bring, the media would have jumped all over it. I think you may underestimate just what the media will jump on and I doubt Braxton or Ohio State really wanted any attention detracted from the celebration.
