How the hell can he fine a coach for making a coaching decision that benefits his team?

I wonder if Pop being fined for this would be a violation of the CBA.

A) I hope the Spurs win
B) Then I hope Pop says "frick you Stern, we STILL won"

This happens all the time too. Did Spo get fined when he sat Lebron at the end of last season?

I don't see how he has any say so in this. He's just pissed cause he won't make as much money off the game tv wise because SA is sitting some players. That's not his call or his business. That is up to the players, coaches and front office people for SA.

This game probably gets higher ratings now if the Spurs keep it up.

I doubt it actually happens. Sets a bad precedent, they would have to start fining lots of teams. What do you do about teams trying to tank holding out healthy players?

Stern can't tell a team how to manage a it's players. I get that Pop is basically trolling the entire country but this is the decision of the Spurs.

Hey Stern want teams to take these games seriously? Shorten the season

Next time have them all get tossed the first minute of the game.
