I traded him away in fantasy because I figured he'd get hurt

I think he's on pace for 59 now. If he can stay healthy, he's gonna put up some eye-popping numbers. I think people forget sometimes how young he is, only 27....and I believe that was number #250 for his career.

He finished 2nd to kershaw in 2014 with a mediocre marlins team. I think if the marlins continue winning and he hits 50 he should def win.

Votto and goldy maybe, the other 2 no shot

both play on the two best teams in the national league and have given both great offense and defense

goldschmidt is the favorite right now, but those two have just as much a shot as anyone else after goldy, as does votto. those three are in the next tier now that harper is hurt

Really? The Marlins have zero shot at making the playoffs and Stanton ranks only 5th in the NL in OPS and 7th in rWAR. I feel like it's Goldschmidt's award to lose at this point.

It was Harper, goldschmidt, and votto in some order and now it's probably goldschmidt vs. votto

Seager’s not the favorite, but he is having as strong of a year as when he finished third in the MVP last year. Plus he is the best player (with Kershaw out) on a potentially all-time great team and no one is running away with it like Bryant did last year. If he finishes really strong, he would have a shot. And Rendon is currently tied for the NL lead in WAR. Again, I don’t think they are the favorites, but to say they have no shot, especially with seven weeks left, seems premature.

I think Max Scherzer could have a case as well.

I want Votto to win, but i think Goldy has the edge.

He is ahead in most of the traditional metrics.

9 homers in the last 10 games, 21 in his last 33 games. Best streak I've ever seen a Marlins player go on, changing his approach and moving up to #2 in the order has clearly paid off.

Wow...Him and Harper have very similar resumes, right now it would be hard to argue against either one. But, Murphy? Although, a very good player, he doesn't belong in the same conversation as Harper & Goldschmidt.

We know what they are. They aren't going to make a run. Seager in the future but hi now
