When's the last time anyone ever used the word "knickerbockers?"

Obviously racist.

Texans and Titans are both about as generic as you can get.

Rams need to go back to yellow and royal.

Cardinals need to ditch the black accent coloring.

Jaguars... yikes at everything.

Titans was a throwback to history, problem is it isnt their history and no one cares. Terrible decision.

Texans made more sense, even though it is a throwback to another team's history, just like the Titans. At least with Texans they were trying to capture some "Texas Pride" and wrangle (pun intended) some support away from the cowboys. At least this was some reasonable decision making - it just didnt work.

The first team that came to mind was the Cleveland Indians. Their attendance is horrible. I think if it's even worse than the Rays even though their ballpark is pretty nice. Their fans don't give a shite about them. It's pretty alarming because I remember their consecutive games sellout streak very vividly. Cleveland has very good sports fans so the paltry attendance speaks volumes about how apathetic their fan base has become. They're just a very boring team to watch and follow. The Indians desperately need to make some major changes to reconnect with their fan base.

Tennessee Titans - arguably the most irrelevant, forgettable team in the NFL. The name "Titans" and logo are horrendous.

I think you've confused "Tennessee Titans" with "Houston Texans"

The Texans. That is the laziest, most insignificant mascot name in existence. And I can't decide whether or not the logo looks more like a one piece swimsuit, a bottle opener, or some sort of fricked-up crab claw.

I disagree. I think the name and the logo are both awesome. And I have no allegiance to the state, city, or team.

knickerbockers has never been used much. But "knickers" was a common term that is still used in one or two communities up north.

The Patriots need to get rid of the flying Elvis and go back with Pat the Patriot.

Ewww.

Aww yeah.

Still the nicest uni on the planet.

That would be badass though.

How about Cleveland professional organizations as a whole?

Especially the Browns. Google results show that a "Brown" could have originated from the first head coach of the organization, or the brown bomber, or a little brown elf. Not sure which of these is accurate, but all 3 are dumb and the color scheme is doodoo.

Things I've seen on this thread I agree with:
-Rams need to go back to blue and yellow
-Falcons need to go back to red helmets
-Patriots need to go back to the "Snapping Minuteman" and ditch Elvis the Pat(some will disagree because of the success of the franchise since Elvis has been around)
-Cardinals should drop the black accent
-Padres should go back to brown and orange or yellow or both and make the "Swinging Friar" the official logo
Other changes I'd make:
-Lions drop the black accent
-Eagles go back to Kelly green
-Braves should bring back the "Screaming Brave"aka Noc-A-Homa as the official logo
-Reds should bring back "Running Mr. Red" from the 70's and 80's as the official logo

That patriots concept art is on point. I'd say make that flag the helmet emblem but it would be too reminiscent of the bucs.
Second thought, just make the bucs change and then the pats are a go.

I wishhe Texans would change the font on their team name.

looks so stupid and generic.

I think a cool helmet ide would be t mimic the helmet of the Dallas Texans(Old AFC team that became the Chiefs). The state outline with Houston being highlighted as a star. but all of that in current Texans colors.

looks like something from Microsoft clip-art

I'm not a Patriots fan by any means, but their classic uniforms are my favorite from any team, era, sport. They are perfect. There has been no worse branding decision than moving away from those unis

I used to think the name "Texans" was stupid... I mean, that would be like naming a state the Jackson, Mississippians.

But after I thought about it, it makes sense.

Texas has a pretty interesting history. Being a "Texan" almost has a caricature that goes along with it. What is a Arizonian like? Who knows... but if I ask you to think of a "Texan", I bet you can come up with something in your mind.

I disagree. The only reason people like Pat the Patriot is because of nostalgia.

Imagine the team had this logo for years and years:

And then tomorrow the Patirots announce they are re-branding and this is their new logo:

Everybody would be like WTF is this??? Looks like a kid drew it! A soldier playing football? WTF? That's goofy!

Kind of like how people ragged on the Sixers for coming out with the Ben Franklin playing basketball logo:
