What would you pick?
MLS. The growth potential for soccer would give the highest ROI.

MLS as well. League is really starting to grow.

NBA. TV deals are getting bigger and bigger. Teams are selling for more. A ton of young likeable stars. Unlike the MLS you are already the gold standard in the world
MLS is difficult because they operate so differently from the rest of the world. Transfer issues, Free agency, etc.

Do we have unlimited funds so our team will be competitive?

NBA, if anything because I think running an NBA team would be really fun and challenging.

Yes! One player can alter the league for years.

MLS, NHL, or EPL. Just about the only leagues I care about.

My first thought it is to own the Titans. My second thought is to bring a baseball team to Tennessee.
Or, just for laughs, I would by the Yankees and move them to Mississippi.

Everyone saying MLS must not want to make profit. Other than a few clubs the rest operate in the red.
Its an uphill climb for the league, 20 years from now MLS would be a good answer.

That's what I am looking at. They are expanding into new markets and the fan base has grown. If I had the money I would get in now and expect to reap some nice rewards in about 20 years.

You would rather own an MLS team than Man U or the Cowboys?

I know! I mean no matter how big MLS gets it will never have a team as big as Man U. Only an idiot would pick an MLS team in this scenario.
