The legendary director of movies like "Do the Right Thing," "Jungle Fever" and "Malcolm X" is taking part in an event called, "United We Stand. Rally for Colin Kaepernick."

quote:

It's all going down on Wednesday, August 23 in front of NFL Headquarters in NY. Multiple organizations are on board -- including the Justice League NYC and the Empowerment Movement. The Justice League is the same organization that made the "I Can't Breathe" shirts that a bunch of athletes wore in the wake of the Eric Garner killing.

At some point you just need to move on. There was probably a time he could do both play and get his message out; but I feel that time has passed.

Of all people, Spike or Barry Obama would DEFINITELY be the people to pull this shitt. Hell Spike might've consulted Barry or Eric Holder about how to proceed, not outside the realm of possibility.

While I don't hate all of Lee's movies, I could definitely have given them up to not have to hear about him as a celebrity.

I don't even think he has asked for any help like this or the "Blackball" talk. He is getting fricked by the people who think they are helping him. What a world

I hope it's a huge rally with a crowd full of super liberals like Lee. That will make any NFL owner on the fence aware of just what a media circus CK would bring to any NFL team.
