Nothing serious will come of this. The NCAA is on the verge of being obsolete. Killing a program in the SEC (even if it is Ole Piss) will speed that up so the NCAA will let them off lightly in an effort to keep itself relevant.

I didn't know the NCAA actually brought charges. I thought they just decided you were were guilty and punished you.

Amazing that I had to come to the MSB to find a topic on this that had actual info in it

SECr is nothing but lame attempts at naming the controversy

They beat Bama two years in a row. Did they really think the REC wasn't going to respond?

I could up vote this a hundred times.

Mississippi's football program was cited by the NCAA in nearly half of the 28 rules violations levied against the school in the Notice of Allegations the university recently received, said a person with knowledge of the investigation.

The person said Tuesday that 13 allegations involve the football program, and nine of those occurred during current coach Hugh Freeze's tenure. The person spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because the investigation is ongoing.

The violations are a mix of Level I — which the NCAA considers most serious — and Level II and III. Many have already been self-reported by the school.

The 6-foot-1, 202-pounder also addressed whether current NCAA charges of rule violations against Ole Miss have clouded his view. They have not. "I talked to Coach Freeze about [potential violations]," Anderson said, adding that "he said it was about things that had happened in the past before he got to Ole Miss. I knew he would be honest with me. When I first heard it, it didn't shake me up."
