Sort of spinoff: if you were a USC fan would you want Jeff Fisher?

Seeing people here and there mention Fisher as a possibility for the USC head coaching job and as a long time Titans fan I love him but i don't think you'd want him as a first time college coach with high expectations. He hasn't exactly been setting the NFL on fire either

That's what I would think but the people I've seen say it seem like they like the idea. Strange

he seems like he'd be a better college coach than NFL coach. I think he'd kill it on the recruiting trail

lol

fisher is an average coach

Watch how poorly his teams are, fundamentally and especially with taking bad penalties.

U want nothing to do with him.

Jeff Fisher would lead the 2007 Pats to a 7-9 record. He's that talented of a coach.

That's unfair.
He would have been 9-7 with the 2007 Pats. No worse than 8-8

Del Rio makes no sense

Fisher makes less

Norton makes the most

So with all that being said....

It will be Rick Neuheisel or Yogi Roth

You're right. What USC really needs is another Carroll lackey who has never been a head coach.

Hiring Pete's assistants to bring back the magic has a great track record!

Those were HC at places before they were hired HC at SC.

Go look at what has happened when the hire non HC's.

But I am sure you know McKay, Robinson, Tollner all did well. Sark, Lane did not. Smith did okay until he flipped.

Caroll was out of the business. but was a former DC after being a HC.

But as the SC fan I know you knew that.

The Sean Payton rumors might be more laughable than the Carrol ones

Tollner sucked because of Robinson's probation, but he took them to a Rose Bowl, which is what the goal was.

Tollner sucked at SDSU for sure, but at SC he was behind the 8 ball with probation, but he went to the Rose Bowl and had a winning record.

Hell Hackett had a winning record at SC.
