70 bucks total for 2 nights during the biggest event in Columbus all year? If the place isn't a total dump or security risk, I'd be shocked.

You're directing out of towers to the Stube?

Jesus christ.

Yeah, I kinda thought the same thing. At the same time, I really have no idea what I would recommend. Maybe Eddie Georges for pregame if you can get there early enough, maybe Library after, or get an Uber to Short North area.

Also someone mentioned Heinegate earlier. I don't think it's called Heinegate anymore, but it still exists. I think it's Tinygate actually because Little Bar owns it. Also that may be another decent bar to go to.

It's air bnb not a hotel. Place looks pretty cool actually, I'm more excited to stay there than I would be a fancy hotel

Riverwatch or whatever was right next to Hineygate still exists right? I don't head down there much anymore pregame. Just tailgate.

Its a huge tailgate party just North of Ohio Stadium. Its is now called Riverwatch. I hope you enjoy your visit. I think you will find that Columbus is a great city...not like most Midwestern cities. Ohio St/Mich St should be a great game so the festivities will be awesome for you to experience. As for bars close to the stadium you have The Varsity Club, Thirsty Scholar, BW3, Little Bar and Out-R-Inn. I would highly suggest Out-R-Inn. These are your campus type bars. If you are looking for a bit older crowd, you should go to the Arena District/Short North which is just a 5 min drive away from campus in downtown Columbus.

It was a huge outdoor tailgate. River Jam existed separately and was right next to Hineygate. Now it stands alone. The hotel and parking lot that Hineygate say on was purchased by the university a few years ago and turned into student housing so Hineygate was disbanded.

I believe River Jam no longer exists. River Jam was in the parking lot of the Riverwatch condominium complex.

Room booked!

Little farther than I thought, it's about 2 miles east of the stadium on Indiana Avenue.

That's basically in the heart of the off-campus housing most likely, depending on the cross street.

It is a little bit of a haul to the stadium but you'll get a bunch of campus flavor. There will be beer drinking/beer pong/football throwing outside the entire walk down Lane Avenue even though it'll be pretty cold.

It's not an unbearable walk, downhill from Indiana Ave to High Street and then downhill to the stadium. It's uphill coming back though obviously

Tinygate is held on the Little Bar property for whoever mentioned it earlier. I think they still have someting at Riverwatch, but I'm not sure what it's called. And Varsity Club has an outdoor thing which is always packed.

I don't think it's an obscene walk to the bars post game, Varsity Club is basically one block away and the rest are a 10-15 minute walk to High Street.

They've torn down all the old-school dives where the older crowd partied when they were in school, and now they are tearing down Too's and Bernie's. It's unfortunate, but it is what it is I guess. They are cleaning up campus and making it pretty damn nice both on and off campus.

You'll have a great time, just take the razzing with a smile if you wear UGA attire. Many fans will buy you drinks or offer you beer, definitely take them up on it. They are trying to make up for the minority of a-hole fans we have.

Cheers, let us know how it goes!

Just got my ticket in the mail I ordered on stubhub and I have some questions:

1) It's a ticketmaster ticket. I've been going to football games for decades and I've only had a "real" ticket like from the school. Where would this ticket have even come from? Obviously ticketmaster doesn't just create them out of nowhere...but wouldn't all tickets OSU sections be issued from the OSU athletic department? Does this just mean I'm in a visitor section?

2) The info listed on stubhub says seat:general admission, yet the actual ticket has a seat # listed. This is adding to my concern. Even further added to by...

3) It appears I got the ticket for face value. Why would anyone sell a ticket to that game this far in advance for face value?

Maybe I'm being a nervous nelly over here but something just seems "off".

What is the seat #? We don't have a general admission section (unless it changed), every seat is numbered. Well what's the section really, it should be AA, A, B C or D really

Eta send me a pic of the ticket

Ticketmaster guarantees their tickets:

"You always get the real deal with Ticketmaster. All tickets are 100% authentic and guaranteed to get you in, including Fan-to-Fan resale tickets."

They scan the barcode, you go in. Simple as that.

Whats the section and seat number?

It is pretty odd that someone is selling a Michigan State ticket for face value. Not sure where you saw that price. How much did you pay?

The cheapest on Ticketmaster right now that I see are basically the last row in D deck for 250+

Not sure if this is a brag or not, but I sat in 7AA for Texas in 2005.

Right in front of Ryan fricking Hanby's dropped TD.

Not bad, not great. It'll be windy and cold up in C-deck. Bundle up.

ETA: VABuckeye graciously gave me a ticket to tOSU vs Cal, and we watched from up there somewhere about 40 yard line. They are decent viewing seats, just back a little bit but you can still see everything.
