So the NFL is imposing a 20% tax on the sale of any team moving to Los Angeles

A new relocation requirement sent to the Rams, Raiders and Chargers could impact the sale of minority interest in either the Chargers or Raiders to Disney chairman Robert Iger should the teams relocate to a $1.75 billion stadium in Carson.
The league sent the three teams a new draft of requirements the clubs must sign this weekend to be considered for relocation. One of the requirements is a so-called flip back tax in which teams must agree to pay the NFL 20 percent of any revenue from the sale of a portion of the franchise after relocating to Los Angeles.

Nah, I don't buy that shite for a second. This is the other owners taking advantage of the situation, and Goodell is still just the puppet.
Any money paid to the "NFL" is actually distributed to the individual teams, right? I don't think the NFL itself will put that revenue on their books, though their books do live in the negative (mostly due to stadium deals I believe) so I think it could be claimed without significant tax liability.
But I see this as Jones, McNair, Kraft, et al getting their piece of the move.

“We’ve got lots of good alternatives,” said New England owner Robert Kraft, a member of the Los Angeles committee. “We’re carefully analyzing and trying to determine what’s right.”

the LA committee laid the smack down on Rog and his tard buddy last night.
Said they r the sole reason this is a cluster frick
Said that because of their stupidity, they have embarrassed the league.
Also took Kroenke to task, w/o naming a name.
Also stated, that because of certain situations(rams), that the message is now that fans are nothing but wallets, nothing more. Were not happy with the Kroenke/rog situation and the lies they told. Also pissed about Rog trying to sabotage the STL stadium situation twice, sending letter to aldermen, trying to get them to stop any money they would give for stadium before a vote went down with aldermen.

Spanos absolutely hates Kroenke, which i don't blame him.

How is this even logical or morally right? How does the NFL get to tax a team for moving?

NFL is a mafia
Seriously, how does the commish of a league, send letter to a cities aldermen to stop funding for a stadium in their city.

It sounds like an equity buy in of sorts, which is idiotic because the team is already paid for.

The rams will pay anything to get out of St. Louis.

What do Rams fans think of this? Surely fans in St. Louis and Missouri can't be down for this. I'm guessing their opinion doesn't matter though.

The NFL has to eat too, it's not a charity.

You serious Clark?
If anything, the NFL should be made into a little anorexic bitch. They have gotten too big for their britches.

The way I understand it, and I could be completely wrong, but this seems like it is designed to discourage a team from moving to LA and simply selling out to the highest bidder once they're there.
It makes since that the other 29 owners would want this considering an LA franchise would be incredibly valuable and if they can't move there themselves, they want a piece of the pie.

I can't believe people still think Roger is some rogue cat that does whatever he wants. He is doing exactly what the majority owners want him to do - nothing more, nothing less.

You dumbass. Roger is just a puppet with one job...to make owners money. End of. People are so stupid.
