I've bet on GS games 1 and 2 and am really leaning their way for gm 3 even though this is the game Cleveland is most likely to win IMO

The line is out at even money?

This seems like a classic where everyone will load up their trailer payments on the Warriors, and Vegas rakes up

ESPN sent me a notification that said it was, I'm a little surprised

But yeah betting this game makes me pretty nervous and if I wasn't trying to recoup some losses id probably just lay out. Might do that anyways

Seems like the classic bet I'd fall for every time.

in reality, I picked GS in 5, assumed they'd win 1 at CLE. I just don't know which one, so at even money, it's not really worth the 50/50 play. If CLE was an underdog in this game, it would probably be worth the play for the points based on my thought of CLE winning 1 at home.

Im guessing this is what Vegas is thinking:

Golden state won two games at home. Great. They only lost 1 game in the playoffs at home(were up 13 at one point) and won 54 games in a row at home this year. They should be up 2-0

The cavs looked great at home and shite on the road against Toronto.

It seems crazy when you first see the line, but I guess it isnt?

It is just hard to imagine the Cavs winning

Cleveland - it's a must win. No other way around it.

They can't go down 0-3 and realistically win the series.

I don't think Cleveland is good enough to beat the Warriors. IMO it will be a sweep.

Not really.
Home court is a pretty significant advantage

GSW.

Cleveland jumps out to a big lead early with the home crowd behind them, but Steph and Klay finally go off in the Finals and the Warriors come back to go up 3-0.

Before the series started, I could see Cleveland playing above their heads and winning game 3.

But seeing their body language and effort halfway though game 2 has me rethinking that. Curry and Thompson haven't even really showed up yet and they are still blowing the Cavs off the court.

The Warriors have been so good about capitalizing when their foot is on a team's throat. Winning this game effectively ends the Finals. I could see Curry having an MVP night and putting this season to bed.

Cleveland's back is against the wall, and the momentum of the home crowd should give the role players more energy than they've had so far. They've been lights out from the perimeter at the Q this postseason. I like Cleveland in Game 3 and Golden State in Game 4 as it stands now.

Cleveland, I mean the only real question is what Kerr is better at selling-- a shot at being the GOAT or giving the fans one more game in Oakland.

I'd put money on Cleveland tonight. Cavs will take the trophy 4-1

I think the time for that has passed barring a major injury or a suspension. Hell, maybe Cleveland should just go into game 3 with the goal of getting Draymond suspended it's not like anything normal has worked.

They also had the best road record in NBA history.

Look at GS losses this year with Steph-- they basically only happen when they run into a team with long elite athletes at at least 4 positions-- the Warriors aren't an elite athletic team this isn't peak Heat, what they are is the best skills and team cohesion team of all time.

Hell they even lost to relatively crappy teams that had tons of athletes- Boston, Minnesota, etc but if you try and beat them with strategy and skills you're getting run out of the gym.

True.

But we've already seen several times this postseason a team get absolutely blasted by 30+ and win the next game. Mavs v. OKC, OKC v. Spurs, happened twice in the WCF, Raps handed the Cavs their first playoff loss coming off a 19 point beat down.

If recent history is any indicator, getting your shite pushed in means nothing once the next game starts. I mean shite, GSW rattled off 3 straight to make the finals after getting blasted in twice by OKC.
