Browsing thru channels this morning and came across that idiot Bayless debating Shannon Sharpe and Cris Carter as to who's the GOAT receiver. Despite the fact Rice is the career leader, by A LOT, in receptions, yardage, and TD's Bayless says hands down Irvin was better. Mostly because Deion Sanders, supposedly, could shut Rice down in practice but not Irvin. Shannon and Cris were looking at him like he had three heads. I'll never understand why any network would pay Skip Bayless for his opinions. He is clueless.

Bayless has a long history of man crush on Irvin.

He wrote a damn book in 90s saying that Irvin was the star and heart and soul of the Cowboys dynasty.

Here you are posting and talking about what crazy thing Skip said, after tuning into his program to see him say it.

That's why they pay him. They DGAF if he's wrong.

Are you a retard? I clearly said I was browsing channels. Did not "tune in" to his program. I browse various sports shows everyday. Don't particularly care for most of the hosts but generally they have a basic grasp of the facts. Bayless doesn't. He is a functioning idiot.

Bayless isn't paid to have a grasp of the facts. He's paid to say outlandish things and make people say "Did you see Skip said this?!". You couldn't understand why he was employed, I was just telling you. The fact you didn't already know that was his schtick makes me ask,

Because there are people like you tuning in to watch and go on a message board to bitch about how horrible he is.

He might not be too far off. Michael Irvin was a beast and his advanced stats were off the charts.

DYAR

1991- Michael Irvin #1, Jerry Rice #10
1992- Michael Irvin #1, Jerry Rice #4
1993- Michael Irvin #1, Jerry Rice #2
1994- Jerry Rice #1, Michael Irvin #2
1995- Michael Irvin #1, Jerry Rice #2

Put prime Michael Irvin in a pass first offense in today's game and he would be putting up Julio Jones type numbers. The guy was a monster.

So you care so much what that stupid little douche-weasel thinks that you have to share it here? Personally, I don't care if he thinks Willie Snead is better than Jerry Rice...

But somehow you heard the argument between he Sharpe and Carter? I do not think you know what tuning in means.

Maybe so and maybe that trolling format works for a lot of people but seeing guys like Skip debate sports has lost a lot of viewers. Sorta like listening to Golic debate NBA basketball. That guy doesn't know the NBA. Once you start pumping out guys who are clueless about a sport, or just troll - you do start to lose people's interest. Haven't watched an ESPN debate show in about 6 years.

Anyway, Rice is considered by some the greatest football player ever. Hard to logically make an argument that Irvin was better.

No he's not. He's playing a part. He sold his soul for big bucks at ESPN and now at FOX. He's paid to say outlandish nonsense to get message boards talking about him and his show. It's the talk show equivalent of professional wrestling.
