Guy behind me at LA Tech/Mississippi St was a former Punter and had to tell everyone who he knew in the athletic Dept. He told everyone about his best moments kicking even though no one asked. I knew his entire life story by the 2nd quarter and I never even spoke to him. Then he started breaking down every single play until even his dad was just saying uh huh and yep.

Punters aren't even football players.

Best part was the intro of former players including Luke McCown, Josh Scobee and Willie Roaf. I went to Tech with Scobee and McCown. Scobee kicked in the NFL for a long time.

At least your guy played football (sort of). The idiot coonass behind me called all the correct plays, and was telling everyone why Aranda and Canada should listen to him......

Hate when people give away their Season Tix to idiots......

The idiots behind our old season tickets would guess how far a play went. Evey play went like this.

Play ran:
Father and son: 5 yards , son"no 6 yards"
Pa announcer: 3 yard gain for Hester
Father and son: looked longer than that

They did this every freaking play.

This happened to me once at a HS Game. The guy behind me was basically doing a play by play. Calling out formations, results of each play etc. Finally, I said "hey man, do you mind? I'm trying to watch the game here...". Turns out he was a scout from another team and he was calling it out so the guy next to him could scribe. We had a good laugh.

The one that sat behind me this weekend constantly predicted the teams record for the rest of the year based on each individual play of the game. And spent the rest of the time talking (screaming) about how he wasn't drunk at all.

You think football is bad, try sitting in front of "know it alls" at a baseball game. It doesn't matter what part of the stadium I sit at an LSU game, the person behind me talks like they are a descendent of Abner Doubleday. Every sentence starts with "(insert player or coach name here) should have...." Nothing is ever done correctly and proper decisions are never made.

Ask him to put his money where is mouth is. If his won't do that, tell him his opinions are worthless if he doesn't back it up.

The baseball guys are the worst. They think they are George Will or Ken Burns.

Somehow I used to always sit around know it alls when I still went to games.
It wasn't former athletes, but usually some drunk arse in camo who would yell the whole game about what the coach was doing wrong and what needed to be done.

Not sure his name. He said he kicked from 09-12. For some reason he mentioned he got to attempt three kicks from 50+ yards but missed all three. Not sure why someone would mention that if they missed all three.

One that really sticks out for me is wayyyy back when the Saints had Ricky Williams, I was at a game against the Colts with Peyton Manning.

Our offense was solid that day, solid passing, WIlliams ran well, just a good day all around in victory. The only hiccup was that we started slow, I just remember Manning torching us early and we got down early. After that every single time we ran the ball, this one moron sitting next to us just kept yelling as loud as he could, "TURN THE PAGE!!!!" I guess he cause he didn't like that part of the playbook where we gave the ball to Ricky Williams.

The funny part is we came storming back, and as I said the offense was fantastic for the rest of the game, Williams ran well. But even later in the game, that dude would still yell every time Ricky got the ball.

Now I gotta go check the boxscore to see how that game played out and whether I'm remembering it correctly.
