Varsha has already said that he called ESPN as soon as he heard the news.

I'd love to get the band back together: Varsha / Hobbs / Matchett ... and how about getting Peter Windsor out of his self-imposed exile?

His YouTube videos are great. LINK

I think people are freaking out about nothing. The coverage will be 95% of what it is now with ESPN promoting it.

This thread just made me watch some youtubes with real f1 engines. I forgot how much I loved that sound.

I hate the current engine spec so much.

... mostly because I'm a Macca fan.

Fair point but can't take the ovals and the crap street tracks they trot out. I wish Indy would go to a three car team system similar to F1. Merc v Ferrari was a good battle to start the year.

It doesn't bother me as much because I used to watch CART from way back, and got used to it I guess.
I agree the Three car system would make it more interesting.

I really wish F1 would do away with DRS, and use a Push to Pass like Indy does now. Just give them 200 seconds , and let them use it anytime they want. I think you would see way more overtaking than having to wait until you are with 1 second in a DRS Zone. It hardly ever seems to create more overtaking.

We can debate which type offers the best racing. We can debate just how ESPN is going to F this up. What we can't debate is that F1 has, by a Secretariat at the 1973 Belmont Stakes sized lead, the best talent on pit lane.

For the love of Yahweh yes! If you just have to have an artificial way to pass, P2P is so much better than DRS. However if Ross Brawn can find a way to do it, an even better solution would be to implement aero in such a way that it doesn't destroy the tires of the car behind.
