to a U-15 boys club.

They are ranked 5th in the world.

Australia's national women's soccer team have suffered a devastating defeat in the lead up to the Rio Olympics - going down 7-0 to the Newcastle Jets under-15 boys side. What is particularly concerning for the Matildas is that despite resting some regulars, they were still able to field experienced international stars including former AFC player of the year Katrina Gorry. Despite the embarrassing defeat on Wednesday night at Valentine Sports Park in Newcastle, the Australian team will travel to Brazil as one of the gold medal favourites.

I wish we had a soccer board so the 90 percent of us who thinks soccer is terrible wouldn't have to even see a thread title for soccer......oh wait we do.

Don't let that a-hole get to you. This story is more about men vs. women in sports and very little to do with actual soccer. Based on the opinions of some people in these men v. women debates on the MSB, this thread belongs here.

It really actually belongs on this board. This thread is about men vs women in sports. Not really about soccer

I'm assuming you're talking about the US Women's team asking for the same pay as the men based on their time spent playing soccer, which should be based on the financial value that each creates, not the idea that women's and men's soccer is equal.

How many times does it need to be proven that a men's high school team or high school age players...

Can easily beat the NCAA women's champ, WNBA champ, tennis champ, soccer champ, whatever...

The best 18 year old in tennis would crush Serena, the best 17 year old, the best 16 year old in the world...you have to go down to just after puberty where the testosterone hasn't fully kicked in. At 15 years old Rafa was #762 in the world for mens...he would have crushed Serena if she played today and he was still 15.

They should probably remember that next time they go to the bargaining table.

They agreed to how much they get paid.

Its a new Millennium. Fly that freak flag proudly.

Has nothing to do with it being a bad product to watch

Remember the Brittney Griner could play in the NBA talk? She's not even that good in the WNBA.

I remember being 16 when I broke the women's wr in my best event... I also remember last year when an 18 year old female crushed the world record in the 1500m and ended up ranked in the top 100 (she would've been around 90th) worldwide for men. I am still puzzled by this honestly.
