Should there be a DH in both leagues or should they scrap it from the AL?

I want a DH in both leagues. My reasoning is that I like offense. I have no interest in seeing pitchers fail miserably trying to hit no matter how entertaining I might find Bartolo Colon hitting. What side of the argument are you on and why?

I'm sure I'm in the minority, but I prefer the National League rules. The 9 players in the field should be the ones batting. No subbing the pitcher out because he sucks.

The DH should never be in the National League

Except there has been 2 generations that have grown up never not playing with a DH until the Majors in 1 league.

There has to be a better way to word that sentence.

Probably but at this point I really do not care. My class is in free for all mode because it is Friday and Homecoming week. That being said, frick grammar right now.

I would support the DH in both leagues, but don't feel too strongly about it. National League rules do make for some interesting strategy decisions, but by and large pitchers hitting is pretty boring. Also I hate when my NL fantasy pitchers get pulled just because they were due up to bat. On the other hand, stuff like Bartolo Colon finally homering, Thor hitting two bombs in a game, and Madison Bumgarner can be a lot of fun.

It is weird when you think about it that the two leagues have such a drastic difference between them. It would be like if the AFC decided to stop playing with kickers.

Agreed. I think it is fine to leave both leagues the way they are. I wouldn't want to make the NL have a DH.

I think they should continue to do it their own ways, but NL teams could really stand to have their pitchers bat more coming up through the minors.

Most of those pitchers probably haven't hit regularly since high school.

There should be NO DH! It's not baseball. It is a gimmick. There sure as hell shouldn't be one in the NL. I heard the new commish has floated that idea among other stupid changes. Such as, limiting amount of relievers. No need to screw things up with gimmicks. I don't care how long a game is either.I'd stay there all night if my team needs to bring in relievers to match up accordingly in order to secure the win. I'm a Giants fan though, so this year it wouldn't matter who we brought in. They would get shelled regardless.

I prefer no DH, but I like each league having its own identity.

I like the DH Way to many potential big innings squashed when # 7 hitter gets on base. And the pitch around shite stats to get the given out. Stupid to be diff in the same game.

I hate the DH but I'm also a fan of a national league team. I just think the pitcher should bat. It allows the game to be more strategic.

Makes managing much much harder and makes your bench much more important.

You could write a pretty simple algorithm to manage an AL game.

It doesn't have to be an all or nothing situation imo, even though that would make the most sense for both leagues to be the same. If the NL doesn't want to add it, that's fine, but I don't want it removed from the AL.
