The nba and nhl have 16 teams make the playoffs, the nfl has 12, Mlb has 10, Should the Mlb go to 12 teams or more?

They should make the wildcard 3 games instead of 1

No. Make the Wild Card a best of three is all that needs to be changed.

they should eliminate the 2nd wildcard, and have all series be best-of-7 games.

If you aren't one of the top 5 teams in your league after a 162 game season you have absolutely no business making the playoffs.

Theoretically since they play more games than those leagues, they should have less teams in the playoffs.

If I had to choose between current setup and a 12 team setup, I'd take the 12 team setup over the current 1 game playoff.

BO3 works I guess, but then those teams are even more fricked with their rotations for the next series, and it would extend the already too long into November playoffs possibly 3-5 more days and at that point you are looking at a potential 2nd week of November World Series. Blah.

At that point just give me 12 I think, not sure.

ETA: Shorten season to 154, make wildcard BO3...boom.

They play 162 games and then the playoffs are a total crapshoot. If anything, they should reduce the amount of teams again.

No. Don't need .500 teams in the playoffs like other sports.

668 team single elimination tourney...bring in the Japanese teams and the Dutch, only because they call baseball "honkball" and that's funny to me

I would actually prefer if baseball goes back to the balanced schedule they had in the '90s and just have the teams with the four best records in each league make the playoffs regardless of division. The baseball postseason is starting to feel really watered down with the extra wild card.

And this with no interleague play and WS being determined by the ASG should go away and be determined by best record is my dream but of course it will never happen

All of this. That would increase the value of the regular season.
