K. Love (like Bosh) is too good to be in that role

I guess it comes down to how you view those players.

I just can't see Love or Bosh being "the guy" on a championship team.

No, not even close to a solid lineup. Maybe you aren't serious.

Why didn't we list Damon Jones and Big Z?

So what? What's wrong with being the guy on a decent team or playoff team that might never win the championship? I get that winning it all is the main goal, but every major star can't be on the same team. I grew up rooting for the Hawks and Sixers. I loved watching Barkley and Wilkins. They were never going to win it. But they played their hearts out and the fans loved them. Their careers aren't anything less because they didn't join up with Jordan, Bird or Magic. People would have revolted back then if they did. Barkley got tore apart initially for forcing the trade to the Suns.

I just don't see anything wrong with being a star on your own team..

There's not.

But maybe they want to win championships and don't care if they are the guy on a mediocre team.

I would lose my respect for him and he would lose his manhood if he went to Minnesota.

I think most players in the league feel this way....

most players aren't all-stars or have a chance to be "the guy" on any team...

give them a bench and that lineup will make the playoffs in three years...

since of course Wiggins can be a "top 20 player ever"

LeBron made Mo Williams. The dude was nothing without him.

The frick? Mo put up 17/6 his two years before going to Cleveland. 17/4 and 15/5 in his two full seasons with the Cavs.

Pretty sure Kelly Olynyk ruined any chances of Love going to Boston.

Plus Williams was the scapegoat for all of the Cavs playoff failures. He was never the same after that..

I really don't get the debate though. Good/great players know that their numbers will decline playing next to Lebron. Thats just a fact. Plus they will be his sidekick or an after thought. Alot may not mind that and will put up with it to get a ring. But if i had star talent (Love does), i wouldn't hang around. I'd go be a bigger star elsewhere..

That would be nice but since they are so young I am guessing they could afford 2 max contract guys, so they could get Love and someone else to go along with the 3 #1 overall picks and Rubio. In 3 years they would be right in the mix.

I have no idea but Love and Wiggins are top 15 talents, if you could add one more along with their other youngsters and Rubio they would be legit. Maybe Aldridge? Aldridge, Love, Wiggins, KAT and Rubio wouldn't be a bad starting lineup.

Wiggins may have top 15 potential; however, his respectable--but not outstanding--rookie season on a horrible team has somehow resulted in the perception that he is on the clear track to being one of the best.

given the fact that aldridge is on a winning team and will probably get a nice contract from portland, why would he go to a cellar dweller that won't reach their potential for a few years?

We're talking as if Wiggins is already LeBron-lite, but he's not even a top 10 SF at this very moment. Love and LMA are both 4's as well...
