Should Denver had kept Tebow?
Posted by WalkingTurtles on 2/8/16 at 6:10 pm940
Not arguing that Tebow should have stayed and started over someone like Manning, but could Denver have kept Tebow and used the benefits he could have brought.
Tebow could have been a good backup and learned/developed under Manning along with Osweiler. They could have used Tebow as a weapon in red zone/short yardage situations and when the passing game stalled under ol noodle arm Also, a lot of merchandise sales and free media exposure. Tebow was good teammate and well liked, no off-field issues.
What says the MSB board?

I think they should trade for manziel

The problem with Tebow(besides that he sucks) is that a faction of the fanbase and media will call for him to start after every loss or bad performance. Imagine Manning taking over for Tebow instead of Osweiler. The media would have been all over that.
Not good for a locker room in my opinion.

I doubt many would call for Tebow to start over Manning. Also, if they utilize Tebow effectively, he could have touched it at least 10 times a game. Read option, short yardage blast, get him a couple of play action plays. He would see the field enough to satisfy everyone.

How mant NFL playoff games have YOU won?????
Tebow could still be an asset for any team if he would just accept another roll besides QB... He is not a very good NFL QB but is a winner and his being on any team would be a benefit.....

You'll just have to accept that God has different plans for Tebow, whose efforts are best served spreading His word.

Replace Osweiler with Tebow and you can bet your arse it would have been a much bigger story/issue.

Seriously? Am I not allowed to say Blaine Gabbert sucks because I've never been drafted? I'm comparing him to other NFL quarterbacks not myself

If Tebow is getting about 5-7 rushes, and 2-3 pass attempts a game and probably averaging about a TD a game, being used as described-short yardage and red zone, he wouldn't have to start over Manning/Osweiler.

If he wasn't a Christian they would have kept him. I think his faith is why no one wanted to keep him. Had he been a huge atheist he'd still be in the NFL.

Or you could, I don't know, give the ball to your RB

Trent Dilfer won with a good defense, so Tebow could have too.

There's a reason no GM wants Tebow on their team
