you do know there was this guy named kareem abdul jabar who played for the lakers right?

Put the sky hook at the 4 and let the most physically dominant player in NBA history hold down the lane.

sure, but he is ultimately behind other people who spent at least the majority of their careers in LA. if you are going to be considered a top 5 laker of all time, you should be in LA for the majority of your career.

kurt rambis?

george mikan was a laker for like 8 years, not 5. and he spent the vast majority of his career as a laker

im not saying he isnt one of the greatest lakers of all time, but he isnt top 5

I just don't see it, I understand he is a HoF member, but not someone I would consider a "great" his career scores line up with Glenn Rice, Carmelo Anthony, Anthony Mason, and Lamar Odom for crying out loud. To me he is the typical "played on a great team and put up decent stats, so belongs in HoF" similar to those on the Big Red Machine and Yankees teams from the 20's

kinda like how we know James Harden can score but you have to tell us about it every time he makes a 3.

elgin baylor was the better player, but james is probably the second best player we have had at that position

my personal top 5 lakers are

1a. magic
1b. kobe
3. kareem
4. jerry west
5. elgin baylor

That's pretty hilarious.

Shaq cropping Jordan's face onto Pippen in that picture Pip posted is fricking hilarious.

Obviously Shaq is "better" than Pippen, but I will say that Scottie can always point to six rings over Shaq's five, and I guarantee you that pisses Shaq off.

Similar to how Bird always concedes that Magic has him beat because he won five titles instead of Bird's three.

I honestly don't think any of these Lakers starting fives mesh perfectly.

Shaq and Kareem really shouldn't play together.

I'm not playing West over Magic, but he's also a PG so what do I do with him?

Both Elgin and Kobe are best suited for shooting guard? Who do you play at the 3 and 4?

One of the top 3 players (in their prime) to ever live isn't in the Laker all time starting 5?

You don't have Kareem Abdul Jabbar's career. You're playing a hypothetical basketball game with players in their prime. Shaq's prime > any center ever
