Adrian Wojnarowski ?@WojVerticalNBA Orlando has agreed to trade Serge Ibaka to Toronto for Terrence Ross and a 2017 first-round pick, league sources tell @TheVertical.

(Raptors have 2 1st rounders, Clippers and their own. They are conveying whichever one turns out to be lower)

Huge pickup for them. Ross isn't a huge loss because that just means more minutes for Powell, who is like a splitting image of Ross, and the Raptors needed a starting PF badly when Pascal Siakam has 38 starts for them this season

It is a good deal for both teams.

Orlando fricked up trading for Ibaka and he wasn't coming back to them in FA.

Oh wow.

Might this be the piece that pushes TOR over CLE in the conference finals?

TOR has some talent and Serge matches up really well with TT.

Should at least keep the ECF from being a sweep

So the magic traded Oladipo and Sabonis for Terrence Ross and Torontos pick? Meh

Adds a good screen and roll guy, rebounding. Lowry and derozan like to drive. If you can't get a shooter, they at least have a hustle player to set ball screens.

Orlando is getting a better deal imo. Not sure Ibaka is worth a 1st round pick.

Toronto really has a deep bench now with Pat Patt, Powell, Siakam, and Cory Jo. Also Bebe Nogueira

Picks in the late 20s are generally pretty useless to really good teams. Its a guaranteed contract when they might not want one. Sometimes, in the past, they would even sell them for straight cash.

The Eastern Conference looks pretty stout all of a sudden. Hopefully Boston makes a move. Cleveland, Boston, Washington and Toronto is a strong top 4.

This. They have a good shot at finishing with the 5th/6th best record with this move, so is the 25th pick really worth it to a team like the Raptors who have a set core in Lowry, DeRozan and Valanciunas

FYI the Raptors have the Clippers pick as well, so they are conveying the lower of whatever the two picks are.

Regardless if it is theirs or Clippers, it will be in the mid to late 20s.

Toronto is in a shitty spot as long as The cavs stay healthy and the Celtics have all those picks.

They have to play win now no matter how unlikely it is that they beat the cavs.

They traded Oladipo and the 11th pick for Terrence Ross and a pick in the late 20's. What a shite trade.

Wonder if Serge would resign in the summer. Also, why did OKC trade him in the first place?

Toronto can make a run for the number one seed in the east now. with love out for at least 6 weeks if the Toronto can make a run for the top seed that could make the difference in them beating the cavs in the playoffs.
