Serena goes Compton at the US Open

Did anyone else see that?
In case you didn't, Serena is down 4-6, 5-6, 15-30 to Kim and hits her second serve. A footfault is called. Serena immediately goes to screaming at the little Asian lady linesman. The chair calls the linesman over to report what Serena said to her. The linesman goes back to her post and Serena immediately starts screaming at her again. The tournament referee comes out to talk to the linesman and apparently she claimed that Serena said that she was going to kill her. Serena already had one code violation for throwing a racquet, so a double fault for 15-40 plus another code violation for a loss of point means Kim wins the match. I think Serena really said, "You need to get your stupid arse away from my baseline" and the little Asian woman heard from the big black lady, "I'm going to kill you".

Technically it was a point penalty, not a default.

She had the racquet extended outward toward the line judge threateningly also while she was screaming at her. She definitely deserved what she got. Also, I wouldn't count out her saying she was going to kill the line judge, it sounded like there were people, maybe sitting in the stands, saying "yes you did" when Serena claimed she didn't say that.

I care about tennis...I stopped watching USC-tOSU for 5 minutes because I saw Serena's score on the bottom line

If she wouldn't have smashed up a racket in the 1st set, it would have only been a warning (instead of a point penalty).

ESPN just showed the replay, and I'm pretty sure she said "you're dead" a couple of times as opposed to "I'm going to kill you". Still a threat none the less.
