2-run shot from ROY Diaz off his boy from the block Jose Feenandez. THen Holiday goes oppo big fly. Cards had a balked run in the 2nd that got overturned.

Wasn't a challenge but the umpire got overruled potentially a timeout was called never got a clear explanation

Teams up to about .316 now against Wacha third time through.
I don't get it. I've tried to diagnosis this myself and I just can't.
No matter how well he is doing, there is a wall and he faceplants into it come 5th/6th inning. 1 hit allowed tonight, nasty as he has been in weeks, 5 straight retired heading into 6th, gets hammered.
I would think Yadi would be a big help there behind the plate, so I don't know.

It must be a lack of dominant stuff leading him to have to show everything early. If he's not able to save stuff for later times through the order, he'll get figured out eventually.

Some positive news today Brandon Moss in on assignment should be back with the club next week. Also read that Lynn could be on assignment by the end of August and potentially back to give the rotation or bullpen a boost for the playoff run. Carpenter should be back within the next 2 weeks

Maybe, who knows.
My guess would probably be his relatively poor mechanics and arm angle leading to inconsistent control as the game goes on.
I am pretty cold on Wacha these days and wouldn't mind trading him (he'd get a good return), I think he is headed for shoulder surgery within 3 years.

Wow didn't realize Dee Gordon is ineligible for the postseason that's just idiotic. If that's the case then he shouldn't be back tonight. So he can give his team a boost to get into the playoffs but not play in them? HUH?!
