They pretty much play terrible teams from here on out except for a couple of series with the Cubs. Of course they are leading the season series with them so ho hum.

Got the Giants as well and close with the Pirates. It's gonna go down to the wire between the Giants, Cards, and Mets for the 2 WC spots. I'd consider the Pirates and Marlins long shots right now.

When I went to a couple of games he did great as the catcher of ceremonial first pitches, of which there were a frightful number.
I was confused as, silly me, I thought there was only one first pitch.

So yesterday I was reading up on the Cardinals farm system to see who has done well this year, who may be promoted over the course of the off season, etc.
Doing that I realized that over the past 10 months the Cardinals traded for 2 different players names Jose Martinez, acquiring both of them from the Royals. The older, and more recently acquired one, made his debut last night.
The younger one was in the Cruz trade in December and made it up to High A at the peak of his 3 level jump through the minors.
