They have some pretty good pitching but they just can't get their lineup jump started yet.

The pirates are a legit Central contender when they are clicking in all facets.

That is true but they need some help... Cole needs to pitch like an ace and some of the players need to step up.

I think losing Martin hurt them more than they were willing to admit as well.

That is true but they need some young guys to step up... I like the Pirates really, if they can find the right balance for their youth.

Its frustrating watching Heyward's approach at the plate. He is turning over on everything. Refuses to go inside out with his swing. If he doesn't change his approach teams are going to continue to effectively pitch him away with off speed stuff and then come inside pounding him for ground balls he pulls to the right side of the infield.
