I'm not real up on the particulars other than he got a huge contract that he's never came close to lived up to but why have y'all not just released werth by now?

Vocal leader of the team even though he's terrible. 20+M a year.
ETA: Also no obvious replacement. The heir apparent is likely Taylor, and you can see how (not) well he's doing this year, save the HR tonight. Tremendous on D though.

Gotta get them bats going! To be honest fellow birds. It's extremely early but I think the Cubs have too much talent for us catch them in the division minus injuries this year. We gotta get that wild card and knock their arse in the NLDS after they have the best record in franchise history.
