I've said it many times I'll say it again
This movement will not die. There is no going back. It only will go one direction, more and more players joining the protest. Pretty soon you will be considered a racist for standing for the anthem.
This will divide locker rooms.
Pro athletes will get away with it first. It will hit a fever pitch once NBA starts next month.
The thing to keep an eye on is collegiate and high school sports. If it becomes an occurrence there shite has truly hit the fan. I know my college coach wouldnt put up with that shite. Locker room unity is far more important at that level than the pros.

Stop giving this idiotic situation attention and people will stop being attention whores.

Bunch of followers. Instead of doing something that is questionable at best, how about putting forth a proposal on how we can improve the cause that you are standing up for?

Don't buy tickets and don't watch the product. If this anti-patriotism wave catches on, then my time and dollars will be spent elsewhere.

Well it will... Goodell not seeing where this was headed was as shortsited as those morons at Mizzou... It will destroy that university and now this will financially hurt the NFL... Some People WILL stop buying season tix once this hits.
By the end of the season half of every roster will be doing this. Sorry folks, but rich white dudes are the backbone of season ticket revenue...this will not fly well with them.

If it ends for Goofdell the way it ended for Wolfe, something good will come from it.

WTF does that mean?
What's your definition of "America"?
Blind obedience?
Can't speak your mind?
Feel good about bad shite happening to you?
I remember when Gerry Spence sued the US government on behalf of white supremacist Randy Weaver because of murder of his family...all because he bought some guns unregistered...and he called the cops "murderous boys with toys."
Spence has defended everyone from tyranny, black or white.
And he has written a book recently:
Police State: How America's Cops Get Away with Murder
"Gerry Spence has written a terrific book on the problems with today's criminal justice system.
In Police State, legendary "country lawyer" Gerry Spence reveals the unnerving truth of our criminal justice system.
In his more than sixty years in the courtroom, Spence has never represented a person charged with a crime in which the police hadn't themselves violated the law. Whether by hiding, tampering with, or manufacturing evidence; by gratuitous violence and even murder, those who are charged with upholding the law too often break it.
Spence starts out by asking the basic question: "Are we safe from our own police?" What he really wants to ask, however, comes a bit later: "Are we safe from power?" Using tales of his brilliance in court, Spence answers those questions. No, we are not safe, and that is precisely why we need people like Gerry Spence to represent people in court."-- Laurie L. Levenson, Los Angeles Review of Books
I don't know if what Kaep is doing is right or wrong...but I'd take the word of a brilliant legal mind who has been on the front-line all his life as a prosecutor and then as a defense lawyer...he has the inside knowledge...that the USA has a long history of the cops often being often worse human beings than those they arrest and the secrecy gang culture of the police departments...according to legal scholars and published stats.
That's from people like Gerry Spence who worked years with cops as a prosecutor and then defended Americans against them. If he's terrified, we all should be.
