With Tyler Lockett out, they needed somebody out there.

Great move considering the circumstances. A veteran return man there for the taking.

I don't think this is a good move...but, I know far less than they do. Seems to me being out of the league and then come playoff time you bring him back would be very risky. If he is off and cannot judge one play right, that could be a turnover waiting to happen.

He sucked this year for the Ravens (I think it was Baltimore). Just too old to maintain his elite speed.

they don't have to get a every down player injured, either a DB or a WR, and Hester will know when to catch it and when not to.

The posts before me are interesting. It's still Devin Hester, literally the best return man in the history of the game. Pete Carroll knows what he's doing

as opposed to a situation like we saw in the bills-jets game where a guy on the roster that never returned kicks as a pro was promoted and had the flub of the year.

I bet he returns a kickoff for a touchdown.

In a critical game where mistakes can't be made, they can't afford to just plug in some random WR just because he's "fast".

Sure Devin has slowed down, but he knows exactly what to do in every situation when the ball is kicked off.

He'll return the game winning touchdown for Seattle in the Super Bowl
